What exactly does the AI check?
Four areas under MRG: rent compared to your state's Richtwert, deposit amount and interest (max. 3 gross monthly rents), fixed term and termination rights, and unlawful clauses such as Ablöse or one-sided indexation.
Is this legal advice?
No. Mietscan is an information tool and does not replace legal advice. For legal action we recommend the Arbeiterkammer or the Mietervereinigung (tenants' association).
What happens to my contract?
The PDF is processed on an EU server and automatically deleted after 24 hours. We never share documents with third parties.
What does the check cost?

Does it work for co-op or municipal apartments?
The check is designed for private rental contracts within the scope of the MRG. Co-op and municipal housing follow partly different rules — individual checks such as the deposit are still informative.
